Born in Germany, Chef Bjoern has had years of experience in MICHELIN starred restaurants such as the esteemed 2-starred Octavium and 3-starred French Laundry. His illustrious career has brought him around the world to cities such as Dubai, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and now Singapore.

Here at Matera, Chef Bjoern adeptly combines innovative techniques and culinary craftsmanship to provide a dining experience that tells a story of passion, providence and provenance.

A new and exciting dining concept awaits as Club Matera at The Club welcomes diners to a casual dining experience from 9 October to 31 December 2024. The unique pop-up will showcase acclaimed Chef Bjoern Alexander’s modern Asian-influenced Italian dining style and Chef de Cuisine Paolo Benedet’s flair for creating authentic and locally sourced Southern Italian flavours that The Cliff is known for. Set against panoramic views of the South China Sea with al fresco seating, diners will be feted to the two chefs’ culinary creations featured in the a la carte, set lunch and set dinner menus; which will be updated regularly to provide fresh dining experiences.
